Buses: Number 130 to and from Avonhead, Riccarton and Hornby. Take the Yellow Line or Purple Line along Riccarton Rd to go to the city centre.

  1. Take Bus Route 130 from Epsom Road to Riccarton Road,
  2. Purple Line at Westfield Riccarton Mall to the Christchurch Airport.

  To our hostel from the airport:

  Taxis, shuttles and buses are available at the airport.

  Take Purple Line at the airport's bus stop, then bus number 130 opposite Church Corner Mall or at Westfield Riccarton Mall on Riccarton Rd.

  Directions from Airport:

  1. Exit from the drop off area, move on Dorey Road.
  2. Exit the 4th exit to remain on Durey Road.
  3. Turn left onto Perimeter Road.
  4. Turn right on Ron Guthrey Road.
  5. Turn left, exiting the first exit at the roundabout onto Syd Bradley Road then keep moving till you reach State Highway 1.
  6. Keep moving along SH 1
  7. Turn left onto SH 73 (Yaldhurst Road).
  8. Turn right onto Racecourse Road. We are on the left at #130 and down the driveway from the entrance. You can park on the street, or at our car park, subject to availability.

2. Turn right onto Yaldhurst Rd (as you follow it it will become Riccarton Rd).
3. Opposite the Church Corner Mall is the Countdown supermarket.

From the Train Station (5 minutes drive)

Driving:
1. Head west on Troup Dr toward Whiteleigh Ave.
2. Turn right at Whiteleigh Ave.
3. Turn left at Blenheim Rd.
4. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto Epsom Rd.
5. Continue straight onto Racecourse Rd
   Destination will be on the right - number 130 Racecourse Rd.

To Air Force Museum

Buses: Turn left from our entrance and without crossing the road to take bus number 130 on Epsom Road. Drop off at any bus stop along Main South Road. Cross the road to board either a 80 Lincoln, 100 Wigram, or Yellow Line bus down Main South Road. Get off when you see the orange and silver Harvard aircraft, then walk for 5 minutes down Harvard Ave.

To Canterbury Museum: about 15 minutes drive

Buses: Turn left from our entrance and without crossing the road to take bus number 130 on Epsom Road. When at the bus interchange in the city centre, take bus number 17 to Rolleston Avenue.

To City Centre: about 8 minutes drive

Buses:
1. From Epsom Road take bus 130 to Riccarton Road.
2. Take Yellow Line or Purple Line from Riccarton Road to city centre.

Driving:
1. Turn right out of the Hostel and follow Racecourse Road.
2. Turn right onto Yaldhurst Road (as you follow it it will become Riccarton Road).
3. Go through 1 roundabout, crossing Deans Avenue, move along Riccarton Avenue to arrive in the city centre. The Botanic Gardens and the Avon River are just on the left of Riccarton Ave as you enter the City Centre.

To University of Canterbury: about 10 minutes drive

Buses: A bus to University of Canterbury just walking distance from the Hostel - along Epsom Road. Take number 130 at bus stop on Epsom Road, then bus 120 at any bus stop along Riccarton Road before Balgay Steet (bus 120 turns left onto Clyde Road from Riccarton Road).

Driving:
1. Head northeast on Racecourse Rd toward Wynand Pl.
2. Turn right at Yaldhurst Road.
3. Turn left at Peer Street.
4. Sharp right at Waimairi Road.
5. Take the 1st left onto Homestead Ln.
6. Turn left at Ilam Road.
7. Turn right into the car park area before University Drive to arrive at University of Canterbury.

To Lincoln University: about 15 minutes drive

Buses: A bus to Lincoln University just walking distance from the Hostel - along Epsom Road. Take number 130 at bus stop on Epsom Road, then number 80 at Westfield Riccarton Mall, or opposite Church Corner Mall along Riccarton Road.

Driving:
1. Turn left out of the Hostel and follow Epsom Rd.
2. At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto Main South Rd.
3. Turn left at Springs Rd.
   Go through 1 roundabout.
4. Turn right at Ellesmere Junction Rd.
5. Take the 1st left onto Calder Dr to arrive at Lincoln University.
